This vintage Mollenhauer Nr. 33 F Alto recorder (Altblockflöte) is crafted from dark-stained pearwood and features the less-common keyed foot joint, which provides easier access to the lowest notes on the instrument—low C and low C-sharp—compared to standard keyless alto models. It produces a clear, resonant tone with responsive projection. All joints fit securely, the corks are in good condition, and the brass key mechanism moves freely; the original pad has deteriorated and will need replacement to fully seal the lowest tone hole. Cosmetic finish wear is present on the head joint, windway edges, and foot joint rim (see images), but these areas do not affect tone, tuning, or playability. The wood has no cracks, and the recorder remains structurally sound. Includes the original box and molded insert.
